ZoneModa Journal (ZMJ) is the first Italian journal dedicated to fashion research in its complexity: aesthetic, social, cultural, economic, historical. Its aim is to cover an interdisciplinary space intersecting fashion criticism and fashion theory.

ZMJ was founded in 2009 by scholars in fashion studies from Bologna University and it is published by the Department of the Arts, Bologna University. ZMJ is a bi-annual, open access, double blind peer-reviewed publication. It is ranked “Class A” in Anvur sector 10 (Literature, Art, History, English Language and Literature), “Scientific Journal” in sector 08 (Architecture) and 11 (History, Philosophy, Psychology).
